Managing Statuses
The Statuses page in Admin → Statuses lets Tenant Admins and Project Admins create, edit, delete, and toggle all workspace statuses.
Browsing and searching statuses
The Statuses page lists all statuses in the workspace. Use the search bar to filter by name or system name. Each row shows the status display name, system name, base color, enabled state, and scope flags at a glance.
Creating a status
- Click New Status.
- Enter a System Name — lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. This value is permanent and cannot be changed after saving.
- Enter a Display Name and optional Aliases.
- Pick a Base Color to visually identify the status across the UI.
- Configure semantic flags and scope availability on the respective tabs.
- Optionally configure project assignment on the Projects tab.
- Click Save.
Editing a status
Click the status row or its edit action to open the edit modal. All fields except System Name can be updated. Changes take effect immediately after saving.
System Name is permanent. Once a status is created, its system name cannot be changed. Choose it carefully — it may be referenced by integrations and reports.
Untested has limited editing. When editing the Untested status, only the display name, aliases, and color can be changed. Semantic flags (success/failure/completion), scope availability, and project assignment are all locked — Untested is always available for all scopes and always applies to all projects.
Enabling and disabling a status
Use the toggle on each status row to enable or disable it without opening the edit modal. Disabled statuses are hidden from users throughout the platform but their historical data is preserved. You can re-enable a status at any time.
Untested cannot be disabled. The Untested status is permanently enabled. The enable/disable toggle is locked for this status because it is the default initial state for every test case in a run — disabling it would break core platform behaviour.
Deleting a status
Click the delete action on a status row and confirm the deletion. The status is permanently removed from the workspace.
If the status is in use, you must replace it first. If the status has been applied to any test results, you will be prompted to select a replacement status before the deletion can proceed. All existing results that used the deleted status will be reassigned to the replacement you choose.
System statuses cannot be deleted. Statuses marked as system statuses are built into the platform and are protected from deletion. You can disable them, but not remove them.
