Notifications

The optional emails TestOrchestrator sends you. Invitations, sign-in links and email confirmations are not optional and always arrive.

Nothing here can switch off the email you need to get in. The page governs two subscriptions and nothing else. Sign-in links, workspace invitations and the confirmations in an email change are how the product works, so they are sent whatever you choose here.

Optional emails

One panel, two switches:

• Product changelog — a monthly summary of what shipped.
• Getting started — a short series to help you and your team set up. It stops on its own once you are running tests.

Both are off unless you turned them on. The same two subscriptions are offered once during onboarding, on the Subscribe to updates step, and they start unticked there too — so an account nobody has touched receives neither.

Saving

The switches are a draft like everything else in Personal settings: flick one and the save bar reads Unsaved changes. Discard puts both back; Save changes writes them and confirms with Email settings saved.

If your settings cannot be loaded

The switches show what you actually chose, so when the page cannot read your choices it refuses to guess. Instead of two switches sitting at off — which would look like a decision you made — you get:

• a banner reading “Your email settings could not be loaded, so the switches below are not showing your current choices”, with a Try again button;
• both switches disabled, each announcing the reason to a screen reader as “— Not available until your settings load”;
• no save bar at all, because there is nothing to compare a change against.

Try again re-reads your settings; when it succeeds the real values appear and the save bar comes back. Your subscriptions are untouched throughout — the failure was a read, and nothing was written.
